Yount Stables had a good 2008 Arizona Futurity Show in October. Our 6 & Under Walk/Trot Leadline Academy riders, Alexander, Finn, Kaitlyn, and Tatum had great rides and all brought home top ribbons, including a first blue for Tatum! Finn was a trooper showing Eddie the first day and Mr. Big the second (it was her first time to ever ride Biggie). Our other academy riders, Shea in 11-17 Walk/Trot, Honor in 9 & 10 Walk/Trot, and Sean Michael in 10 & Under Walk/Trot/Canter and Western Pleasure all had excellent rides.
Our performance junior exhibitors included Coley on Arthur in 10 & Under Equitation, Sydney on Charlie in 17 & Under Equitation, Caitlin on Storm and Sydney on Sky Guy in Country Pleasure, and Kirsti on Freedom in 5 Gaited, all had nice rides. Our Western Pleasure riders, Megan on Tag and Caitlin on Storm fought it out all weekend with Megan finally beating Caitlin in the Championship.
Double, with Jannie up, was magnificent in the 5 Gaited Open class, winning both the qualifier and the stake, and was named Southwest Regional Champion for 2008. Teri showed Florenza to the Southwest Regional Championship in the Three Gaited Open Stake.

Yount Stables will be attending the Jingle Bell Horse Show in Del Mar, CA, Dec 4-7.
