Arizona Fall Futurity Horse Show 2009

Yount Stables had a fantastic 2009 Arizona Futurity Show! Little Courvoisier Gold “Horton” won the Futurity Yearling Colts and was 3rd in the championship. Java Jolt won the Two Year Old In Hand and was 2nd in the Two Year Old Under Saddle Class. Our other young horses had nice finishes as well. Razin Arizona won the UPHA Five Gaited Classic and Row Jimmy was 2nd in the Five Gaited Limit/Novice Championship with Pauline in the irons.

Our gaited riders worked it out, with Teri and Double winning the Five Gaited Open Championship and Jeanette and Freedom as Reserve and the Southwest Regional Champions. Kirsti and Freedom won the Five Gaited Junior Exhibitor Stake followed by Syd, catch riding Royal Pleasure, in 3rd and Shea and Megellan 4th. Syd also made a nice showing on Florenza, taking 4th in the 3 Gaited Junior Exhibitor Stake. Caitlin and Storm had nice rides, taking 3rd in Western Pleasure Stake and 5th in the Country Pleasure Junior Exhibitor Stake. Samantha and Brass were 3rd in the 13 & Under Equitation qualifier and in the Show Pleasure Junior Exhibitor Championship. Megan was 3rd in the Shatner Western Pleasure class and 5th in the Championship. Coley won both the 10 & Under Walk/Trot Qualifier and Championship classes. Hein made his debut on Pippa and was 1st in the Park Pleasure Qualifier and 2nd in the Stake.

Our academy kids rocked! Honor rode Biggie to her first wins in the Equitation Walk/Trot for 9-11 year olds and the 10 & Under Schooling classes. Sophie had a nice ride on Mitch, finishing 2nd in the WTC 10 & Under Showmanship class. Sean on Tag won the WTC 10 & Under Showmanship class and was 2nd in Equitation. Our 8 & Under riders did a great job, finishing with nice ribbons. Katie showed Cash, Finn showed Sophie, and Emma completed her first Arizona show on Spencer. Amaya also made a very successful show debut on Spencer.
